**Responsibilities**

Performs various support functions in research laboratory using proper procedures to avoid the risk of laboratory-acquired infection or sample-to-sample contamination. Maintains and cleans equipment and the facility; maintains and restocks supplies; and maintains computer database. Works under direct supervision. Attention to detail is essential while dealing with multiple tasks. Flexibility is important in adjusting to frequent changes in work volume.

**Qualifications**

Requires a high school diploma or GED. Coursework in mathematics and relevant sciences. Must have previous work experience that demonstrates organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task. Requires manual dexterity, accurate typing, and good communication skills. Must be able to prioritize and adjust to changes in work volume. Experience with Excel software is preferred.

+ Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups

**Responsibilities**

Performs routine procedures in one or more sections of the laboratory facilities under the supervision of either a principal investigator, staff scientist, research associate, or postdoctoral fellow. Will be expected to use proven scientific method(s) in the conduct of new and routine experiments.
