**Electrical Installer II**
Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results driven and forward-thinking Electrical Installer to join our amazing culture. In this role, you will install, program, test, repairs, and service a variety of systems and equipment which may include security, fire alarm & life safety with minimal guidance as needed. You will work closely with customers and internal colleagues in providing technical installation support and training. **What you’ll do with “Our Training and Your Experience”**
+ Install, program, test, repairs, and service a variety of systems and equipment which may include security, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation with minimal guidance as needed.
+ Work closely with customers and internal colleagues in providing technical installation support and training. May assist or train less experienced Electrical Installers. Refers more complex issues to more experienced colleagues.
+ Interpret manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and repairs equipment, utilizing knowledge of electronics and using standard test instruments and hand tools.
+ Provide basic installation assistance as directed by project lead.
+ Act as “our customer’s best service provider” at all times thereby ensuring Convergint Technologies is the customer’s first choice for service.
+ Take ownership of onsite project including safety, quality and performance. Observe and practice Convergint Quality Standards.
+ Make suggestions for installation methods to improve profitability and quality.
+ Learn and perform tasks of an Electrical Installer III in order to progress through the trade program.
+ Provide feedback to the Job-Lead regarding problems and anticipate time associated with an assigned task. Act as primary liaison to Project Lead.
**What You’ll Need**
+ Experience installing and wiring access control, network cameras, door hardware, panel installation & wiring, and programming of door and camera additions.
+ Solid Construction Skills and understanding of system plans.
+ Solid understanding of blueprints, design drawings including wiring and labeling methods, system wiring, wiring methods, cut sheets, wiring schematics, and cable support installation (J-Hook, Raceway, Conduit, Cable Support).
+ Very familiar with basic blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures unassisted, may require assistance with more complex specifications.
+ Strong customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to maintain awareness of, and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted.
+ Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper) and ability to read blueprints and drawings; solid math skills (for some positions, this may include calculating area, velocity, resistance, voltage, etc.).
+ Solid verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
+ The Electrical Installer will be responsible for providing basic hand tools as required to perform the daily tasks of the position.
+ A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Relevant trade designation (e.g. Electrician) preferred
Minimum Experience: 3-5 years in electronic security industry. Previous construction experience including some level of electrical or a low voltage background required.
Preferred Experience (but not required):
+ Experience in one or more of the following industries: electronic, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation.
+ Experience with Axis / Bosch / DMP / Lenel / Software House.
+ Certifications & Licenses: Project Management Institute (PMI) certification desirable; industry-specific certifications and/or
Certifications & Licenses: Product-specific certifications helpful; industry-specific certifications desired; must have or be able to obtain applicable state and/or local required industry licenses as required by state law; Must have valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
