U-Haul Operations Department seeks a talented and motivated Java developer to develop and enhance existing internal programs and procedures.
Someone who is a true professional who takes pride in their work and is curious about the business and the projects they work on. We are looking for a Java software developer who can contribute to projects. Required knowledge and experience in Java, SQL / PLSQL, Unix, Linux. Writing Java programs to support business operations. We believe strongly in writing code that is easily maintainable and highly reliable. We need creative individuals who love to problem solve and find ways to continually implement solutions that satisfy user needs.
Requirements:
+ Must be a U.S. Citizen or have proof of U.S. employment authorization for this position
+ Java experience - at least 3 years
+ Oracle PL/SQL experience - at least 2 years
+ Strong Critical Thinking skills
+ Self-motivated
+ Strong candidates will also have some or all the following:
+ In-depth knowledge and understanding of Java and Java EE
+ Experience with connecting to databases via JDBC
+ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
+ Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
+ Knowledge of hardware and operating systems (Linux-based systems a plus)
+ Experience with Oracle Packages/Procedures/Functions
+ Experience with Oracle Ref Cursors a plus
+ Experience with an IDE such as Eclipse
+ Experience with TFS, Azure DevOps or equivalent for source code control
+ Solid troubleshooting experience
Education Requirements:
+ Bachelors or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Technology or equivalent experience.

Since 1945, U-Haul has been serving do-it-yourself movers and their households. Like many other successful ventures, the concept for U-Haul was generated out of need. After World War II, there existed the widespread need for do-it-yourself moving equipment that would be available on a one-way, nationwide basis. U-Haul co-founders L.S. "Sam" Shoen and his wife, Anna Mary Carty Shoen, recognized that need and acted upon it. Their visionary approach spread the cost of ownership among many users, facilitating the mobility of the populations of the U.S. and Canada. The covered wagon of the pioneers morphed into orange U-Haul trailers. In the process, an industry was born.
