**Job Description**

The SaaS Observability Octo Team is looking for a versatile engineer to join the team! We develop and maintain the next-gen observability services responsible for monitoring SaaS Services 24/7.

**Responsibilities** :

+ Develop SaaS Observability (Octo) stack components in Go, Python, Java

+ Manage Observability Kubernetes service deployments via OCI Build, Shepherd, & Helm

+ Support build and configuration of Kubernetes clusters, setting up monitoring framework

+ Assist users in debugging alerting issues, dashboarding, metric collection, etc. as needed

**Technical Skills** :

+ 10yrs+ Proficient programming skill in Go, Python, or equivalent; Java nice to have

+ Excellent knowledge of linux shell scripting knowledge

+ Knowledge and demonstrated ability in Prometheus, AlertManager, Loki, & Grafana

+ Experience with microservices in OCI OKE (or AWS) configured via Helm or Kustomize

+ A foundational knowledge of CI/CD, like Jenkins or GitLab

+ DevOps/Engineering Technical Practices Focus

+ Have supported production applications and technologies that are large in scale

+ Knowledge of Terraform, Helm, Ansible, Chef

+ Knowledge of SaaS & SQL a plus!


As a member of the SaaS Observability Octo Team, you will develop collection agents and OKE microservices, and deploy Octo services via CI/CD. You must be able to switch gears quickly and be willing to develop in different environments. One sprint may involve developing new metric collections in Go, followed by developing Helm charts the next to deploy your service. We are a full DevSecOps team, developing and running our mission-critical service for 1000’s of Oracle users 24/7.

**Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated location(s)**

California Pay Range: from $117,500 to $285,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Colorado Pay Range: from $112,600 to $256,900 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

New York City Pay Range: from $127,600 to $271,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Washington Pay Range: from $124,500 to $271,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience and market conditions, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
