JOB SUMMARY:

The CMS Developer is responsible for setting up, modifying, and building database-driven Internet applications. This position requires an advanced level of understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6), and a good understanding of MongoDB. This position is expected to develop an advanced understanding of the Simpleview CMS and to actively keep abreast of new front-end web development standards and trends. The CMS Developer is responsible for delivering error-free work with a high level of quality while meeting time budgets set per task. This position works under the direction of the CMS Lead Developer.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Work with a CMS Lead Developer to complete client contracts and projects

+ Work with CMS Project Manager to facilitate completion of work

+ Set up all applications within the CMS tool for each project

+ Create widgets, templates, and clean test pages as required for each ticket

+ Contribute to the development and maintenance of our starter templates, internal tools, and component libraries via reporting issues and submitting pull requests in GitHub

+ Test all completed work to ensure proper and error-free functionality

+ Complete all programming tasks while following company code standards

+ Complete and respond to change requests from clients, CMS Project Managers, or CMS Lead Developer

+ Manage timelines and ticket queues in order to provide timely delivery of tasks

+ Communicating with CMS Lead Developer and/or CMS Project Manager when timelines or ticket expectations cannot be met

+ Update all ticket and project notes and statuses daily within the internal Simpleview ticket system

+ Maintain accurate time entries

+ Maintain open communication with CMS Lead Developer and/or CMS Project Manager on all project tasks

+ Participate in on-call rotations to field after-hours critical client requests

*This position is available for remote working.
