As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll implement features for Sunrun’s marketing platform, develop and maintain full-stack solutions for Sunrun’s custom applications, and develop on industry-leading SaaS platforms.
**Responsibilities**
+ Work collaboratively with our business units to develop applications that can be tested easily and will perform well under a variety of conditions.
+ Champion adherence to best practice development methodologies.
+ Facilitate automated testing so all teams can innovate at a rapid pace.
+ Mentor and build skills across the team by setting effective standards, performing code reviews, and by knowledge-sharing with other engineers.
+ Make sure that new features don’t interfere or cause any negative impact in ongoing business processes, and handle any situation that might compromise our system stability.
+ Contribute to decisions on how our tech-driven, lean organization is going to evolve.
+ Help decide which tech stack will be used to implement any given feature.
+ Proactively look for new technologies or solutions that guarantee our stack stays competitive and up-to-date.
+ Help establish standards for the team in areas of technical excellence.
**Capabilities**
+ High level of creativity in designing and developing innovative solutions to challenging problems.
+ Ability to work in a cross-functional team, communicating directly with senior staff across sales, digital marketing, call center management,and other disciplines.
+ Capacity to understand business requirements stated at a very high level, and decompose them into smaller developer-ready tasks.
+ Methodical approach to problem solving, incorporating enough flexibility to react to change in an agile manner.

The starting salary for this opportunity ranges from $137,629.00 - $165,155.00. Other rewards may include annual bonus eligibility, which is based on company and individual performance, short and long term incentives, and program-specific awards. Sunrun provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
