Chandler, the fourth largest City in Arizona, is located in one of the fastest growing innovation and technology centers in the nation. The City of Chandler Community Services Department, Library Division is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Librarian.This is a regular, full-time, exempt position with benefits.

Work Schedule:
This a 40-hour position with a schedule that includes nights and weekends. A weekly schedule includes one (1) evening per week and one (1) weekend per month.

Location:
Chandler Public Library Downtown Branch: 22 S Delaware St, Chandler AZ 85225.
The Downtown Library is open seven (7) days and three (3) evenings per week.

Minimum qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree in Library Science or related field; and three (3) years of paraprofessional library experience including one (1) year of previous supervisory experience; and Arizona State Teaching Certification and Arizona State School Library Endorsement required depending on assignment; and a valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.

Desired qualifications
Master’s Degree in Library Science

This is a regular part-time position, subject to a six (6) month probationary period. A register of qualified candidates will be active for four (4) months should another position become available.

The City of Chandler will conduct a pre-employment background check and a MVRRS (Motor Vehicle Record Request System) check as a condition of employment. An offer of employment is contingent upon acceptable results.
