**JOB SUMMARY**
The Systems Engineer serves as a Subject Matter Expert in a complex array of solutions. An ideal candidate will exhibit strong communications skills, be self-motivated, adaptable, and dependable. This individual will play a critical role in engineering and supporting Global Workplace Services Virtual services as a technical resource. They will contribute to resolving complex issues and providing input for decisions on more complex, non-routine service requests with limited to moderate risk. This role will be called upon can make contributions into research, analysis, design, creation, and implementation of systems to meet current and future user requirements. This individual will collaborate on multiple projects to ensure for successful completion.
**CANDIDATE PROFILE**
**Education and Experience**
**Required:**
+ Undergraduate degree in an engineering or computer science discipline and/or equivalent experience/certification
+ 5+ years’ overall experience in Information Technology including:
+ 3+ years’ experience developing technical solutions for end user and workplace services leveraging cloud and virtual technologies
+ 3+ years’ developing automated technology capabilities in support of desktop and mobile computing platforms including infrastructure provisioning using configuration technologies
+ 3+ years’ working with enterprise class cloud services and DaaS providers such as VMware Horizon, Azure Virtual Desktop, and/or Windows 365
+ 3+ years’ Windows desktop administration and troubleshooting experience
+ 3+ years of PowerShell scripting and PowerCLI or other scripting language
+ 2+ years’ Windows server administration and troubleshooting experience
+ 2+ years hands on knowledge of IaC and configuration management tools
+ 2+ year experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure engineering
+ 2+ years with Agile and Design Thinking
+ Strong knowledge of Networking fundamentals including Azure and SASE Networks
+ Strong understanding of the DevOps Tool Chain
+ Strong understanding of Active Directory and Group Policy Management
**Preferred:**
+ 2+ years’ process mapping and automation
+ Nerdio and Intune experience a plus
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills for a wide range of audiences including executives, business stakeholders and IT teams
+ Excellent Customer Service Skills and Troubleshooting Abilities
+ Demonstrated ability to perform independently as a member of a team and through cross functional initiatives.
+ Strong attention to detail with an ability to operate effectively across multiple priorities
+ Strong passion for technology and the drive to learn new technology
+ Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
+ Demonstrated ability to assess customer/client needs, creatively approach solutions, decide, and influence appropriate courses of action
+ Proven ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
+ Experience in requirements analysis/generation and developing systems architectures
+ Experience as a system engineer in programs that encompass systems architecture, requirements analysis, design, production, integration, test, and transition into operations
+ Proficiency in Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
**CORE WORK ACTIVITIES**
+ Provides engineering, oversight, governance, and tactical direction related to the cloud and workplace services that are required to enable the delivery of IT services
+ Develops/Designs cloud-based services in the form of IaaS, SaaS, or PaaS to help drive consumption of the end point device experience
+ Develops standards, qualifications, and methods for the integration of the workplace architecture with new applications and internet browsers
+ Supports analysis of the current environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommends solutions for improvement
+ Utilizes capability modeling to align systems strategy and planning with business strategy and goals
+ Consults with project teams to identify when it is necessary to modify services to accommodate project needs
+ Supports, implements, and promotes standard configuration and change management, processes, and practices
+ Develops test plans, implementation plans, and project timelines for assigned projects
**Delivering Technology**
+ Performs quantitative and qualitative analyses for service design processes and projects.
+ Participates with the Service Delivery and Transition teams in planning and coordinating implementation, reviewing quality control of systems functional design, usability, functionality, and implementation.
+ Coordinates with appropriate IT and vendor relation teams.
+ Acts as a 4th level of support to cloud and workplace products and platforms.
+ Provides early warning to leadership regarding degraded or missed service levels
**IT Governance**
+ Follows all defined standards and processes (i.e. IT Governance, SM&G, Architecture, etc.), and provides input for improvements to the appropriate process owners as needed
+ Maintains a proper balance between business and operational risk
+ Follows the defined project management standards and process
**California Applicants Only:** The pay range for this position is $81,525.00 to $174,271.00 per hour.
**Colorado Applicants Only:** The hourly pay range for this position is $81,525.00 to $158,430.00.
**New York City & Westchester County, NY Applicants Only:** The pay range for this position is $98,644.00 to $174,271.00 per hour.
**Washington Applicants Only:** The hourly pay range for this position is $81,525.00 to $174,271.00. Employees will accrue 0.04616 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 7 holidays annually.
