Position Summary:

The Traveling Service Technician is a field-based role within the DTF Superstore tech support department that performs a variety of on site activities including, but not limited to, printer installation, customer software training, maintenance, inspections, component exchanges and repairs. This position requires travel as needed for 3 - 5 day periods of time within the U.S.

Responsibilities:

-Perform printer installation and customer training as assigned
throughout the USA in a safe and efficient manner following company
procedures and processes
-Diagnose, analyze and resolve issues on as needed basis
-Utilize specialized tooling and equipment to perform activities
-Identify potential issues and communicates to management
-Follow defined instructions and schedules, executing plans as directed
and performs according to instruction from tech support management
-Establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers,
subcontractors and peers, as well as perform necessary administrative
duties accurately
-Utilize appropriate safety gear, protective equipment, and control or
dissipation of energy sources to ensure work is performed in safe
manner
-Properly maintain tools and equipment used to perform repair
activities
-Other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

-High School diploma or equivalent required
-A 2-year degree in technology or similar field strongly preferred
-Demonstrated use and understanding of power tools
-Ability to travel domestically and internationally for extended periods
of times and also requires working overtime, including flexible and
variable work schedule as needed to meet business needs
-Able to work independently and on a team in a fast paced setting
-Ability to be certified by Mimaki as a printer technician
-Maintain required training certifications
-Ability to read, interpret and understand drawings, schematics,
instructions and schedules
-Moderate computer skills, familiarity with installing and configuring
software
-Must possess a full valid U.S. driver’s license
-Must be 21 years old or older
-Qualified candidates must be legally authorized for employment in the -United States and will not require employer sponsored work
authorization now or in the future for employment in the United
States

Work may involve lifting of materials up to 100 pounds.
