The City of Chandler Information Technology Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as an IT Programmer Senior Analyst. Minimum Qualifications


Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field4 years of recent experience in systems application analysis, highly complex technical documentation programming, including acting as a lead system implementer on a project team delivering an enterprise solutionExperience in web development (C#, ASP.Net, Angular, NodeJs preferred), BASH/Linux, XML, JSON, Database development (Progress, SQL, PL/SQL desired) or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.

• Strong communication skills, including the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and team members.
• Ability to lead and guide a development team, providing mentorship and support to junior developers
• Advanced problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze complex issues and provide innovative solutions
• Sound decision-making skills, particularly when faced with competing priorities or ambiguous situations
• The ability to work independently and drive projects forward without constant supervision
• Adherence to ethical standards and a commitment to ensuring the security and privacy of user data
• Skills in writing unit tests and conducting debugging to ensure the reliability and stability of the application.
• Understanding project management principles, especially if the role involves overseeing or leading development projects
• Knowledge of best practices for securing applications and protecting against common security threats
• Experience with version control systems like Git to manage and track changes in the codebase.

The City of Chandler will conduct a pre-employment MVRRS (Motor Vehicle Record Request System) check as a condition of employment. An offer of employment is contingent upon acceptable results.

The position available is a full-time position and is subject to a six (6) month probationary period. A register of qualified candidates will be active for four (4) months should another position become available.
