We're on a quest to find an **Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic/EMT-P** extraordinaire to become our Medical Support Specialist in the shimmering plasma paradise of **Tucson, Arizona** !

+ Pay: $26.00-$28.00/hour

+ Schedule: Rotating shifts, 5x8s with potential for 4x10s (as flexible as a jumping cholla)

**Your Desert Survival Kit Should Include:**

+ Paramedic / EMT-P Certification (more essential than sunscreen in July)

+ BLS certification (because knowing how to save lives is hotter than a habanero)

+ Plasma knowledge and venipuncture skills are bonus points (but we won't ask you to wrangle rattlesnakes)

**Responsibilities:**

+ Determine donor eligibility, ensuring compliance with informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self-exclusion, conducting medical history interviews, meeting acceptance criteria, performing physical examinations, conducting blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).

+ Assess donor reactions according to facility SOPs. Adhere to SOPs for medical emergencies, including implementing directives from the Center Physician and arranging donor transport to emergency care facilities.

+ Consult with the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on communicating unacceptable findings to donors, and for addressing medical or technical issues related to donor safety and eligibility.

+ Support employee Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs as applicable.

+ Manage employee incidents, determining if further evaluation by occupational health/ER is necessary. Refer to EHS guidelines for handling employee incidents.

+ Act as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations related to pandemic threats within the local community as directed by EHS or Medical Affairs.
