LOCATION: 70%—80% work from home, and 10-20% in-person events/training in the community.
STATUS: Full time
REPORTS TO: Learning and Development Manager
PAY RANGE: $20-25 per hour

1) offering professional development and advanced level training to the health care workforce with a focus on peer and family support professionals;
2) providing support and peer-to-peer networking opportunities for industry professionals; and
3) working with social service delivery systems and healthcare provider organizations to expand the use of peer and family support services into non-traditional settings.

SUMMARY:
The Workforce Development Champion position with the Peer and Family Career Academy (PFCA) has a primary responsibility to provide program training to PFCA enrolled students and/or community members in accordance with the mission and vision of PFCA. This position serves
as the coordinator of PFCA’s training activities and will include management of the training scheduling system, coordination and tracking of all trainee activities.
MAJOR DUTIES:
• Conduct training sessions in person or virtually, ensuring that all participants understand and retain the information presented
• Engage with students and facilitate a process of reflection and dialogue throughout the trainings.
• Create engaging and interactive training materials, such as presentations, handouts, and online modules. Collaborate with department manager to identify training needs and develop customized programs to address them.
• Stay current on industry trends and best practices in training and development to continuously improve training programs
• Work with the Learning and Development Manager and Executive Director to review all existing curriculum and conduct annual refreshes and adapts as needed. Ensure that curriculum reflects current data and continues to be relevant to the fields of peer support and parent/family support.
• Review student feedback surveys, annual survey, and feedback obtained during focus groups to ensure programs and curriculum are responsive to stakeholder needs.
• Manage training calendar, marketing activities related to upcoming trainings, and enrollment processes.
• Maintain training records and documentation to track student progress and compliance with training requirements

PREFERRED SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Must have experience with providing peer support and/or parent/family support services within the behavioral health system.
• Ideal candidates identify as a peer and/or family member and have the ability to connect with their own lived experience to enhance their professional work.
• Experience in training delivery and other public speaking activities.
• Ability to interact with virtual meeting platforms (zoom), basic website
platforms, G-Suite platforms, and Microsoft Office programs.

BENEFIT PACKAGE: 3 weeks PTO and 12 paid holidays, Vision, Dental, Short-term disability, long-term disability, 401k with 1% match at this time. We provide a $100 work from home stipend to offset internet and phone costs. We provide a $100 health and wellness stipend, which can be utilized toward health insurance marketplace other health-related expenses at the employee's discretion.
