Axiom Care is a fast-paced, rapidly growing substance abuse treatment and sober living housing provider with locations in the Phoenix metro area and Apache Junction. We primarily serve low-income and justice-involved individuals who are seeking to change their life for the better.
Job Summary
Clinicians complete assessments, collaborate with their clients to create individualized treatment plans, and provide individual and group therapy to assist clients with recovering from substance use disorder. Clinicians work closely with other clinicians, BHTs, Case Managers and clinical administration in the clinical department to provide high quality services to the patient population. Clinicians will complete documentation in the EMR and work with the billing department for all necessary utilization review.
Duties/Responsibilities
• Provide high quality, compassionate, and ethical substance abuse therapy to clients as scheduled in individual and group settings.
• Actively participate as a positive member of an interdisciplinary treatment team.
• Complete clinical assessments and documentation as necessary, including but not limited to, treatment plans, biopsychosocial assessments, concurrent reviews, discharge plans, group and contact notes etc.
• Responsible for providing group and individual treatment as directed by supervisor.
• Complete accurate clinical documentation same day as date of service.
• Maintain good standing with the appropriate board and insurance entities.
• Complete all recommended continuing education requirements.
• Stay current with updated research and best practices.
• Be aware of community referral sources and refer when necessary.
• Secure client information per HIPAA standards.
• Provides and attends in-service training as needed.
• Participate in clinical supervision.

Qualification Requirements
• Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage, Counseling, or relative field, from an accredited college or university.
• Two to three years of experience working in behavioral health or substance abuse field preferred.
• Strong computer skills required, experience with electronic medical records preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, their loved ones and professionals.
• Ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret human service periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Strong assessment skills.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and analyze policies and procedures.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Working knowledge of twelve step programs of recovery.
• Licensed at any level to provide counseling or as a psychologist in the state of operation (i.e. - LPC, LASAC etc. in Arizona).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

• Documentation - Knowledge of regulations. Prepare accurate, concise notes. Write comprehensive, clear psychosocial narrative. Record client progress in relation to treatment goals. Discharge summaries.
