Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and diligent individual to join our team as a part-time Kitchen Helper & Residential Cleaner. This role is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a pride in maintaining a clean and organized environment.
Key Responsibilities and Skills:
Cookie Kitchen:
• Cleaning & Sanitizing: Maintain cleanliness and organization in two workroom stations. Duties include washing bakery dishes, cleaning countertops, tools, equipment, and floors. Ensure all areas are sanitized before the end of each shift.
Skills: Attention to detail, time management, cleanliness.
• Operating Bakery Equipment: Learn and manage the proper use of bakery equipment, including cookie ovens, Commercial and residential mixers, dough sheeter, edible printers, and more.
Skills: Equipment handling, organizational skills.
• Preparing Cookie Dough & Royal Icing: Assist with the preparation of cookie dough and roayl icing.
Skills: Basic math, kitchen skills, ability to follow recipes.
• Wrapping & Packaging Cookies: Accurately wrap and package decorated cookies for shipping.
Skills: Precision, attention to detail.
• Errands: Occasionally run errands to the post office or grocery store.
Skills: Time management, dependability, reliable transportation.
Residential Cleaning (for a home with no children or pets) Cleaning supplies are provided by homeowner
• Laundry: Handle light laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and putting away 1-2 loads/ week.
Skills: Efficiency, laundry management.
• Bathroom Cleaning: Clean and sanitize one shower, two toilets, two sinks, and floors. Skills: Thoroughness, hygiene awareness.
• Floor Care: Vacuum carpets and mop tile floors.
Skills: Attention to detail, efficiency.
• Dusting & Decluttering: Dust surfaces and assist with light decluttering projects as needed.
Skills: Organizational skills, tidiness.
Qualifications:
• Basic kitchen experience is preferred, but we value a positive attitude and willingness to learn above all.
