Job Description:

Intern position to aid microcontroller design engineers with front-end and back-end chip design implementation activities utilizing script-driven EDA point tools. Aid in chip-level design verification and fine-tuning of a structured testbench environment.

Seeking candidate with design/development career aspirations and the flexibility to continue part-time (up to 20 hours per week) while completing degree program. Additional hours available outside of school sessions.

Requirements/Qualifications:

The ideal candidate is currently enrolled in an Electrical and/or Computer Engineering degree program and has reached the Senior level. Or is actively pursuing post-graduate studies in a related discipline. Studies to have included microcontroller architecture and popular scripting/programming languages such as TCL, Perl, Python, C++

Candidate has a willingness to learn and apply existing methodologies on revenue-producing products and an inclination toward process improvement through effective utilization of tools.

Must be a self-driven individual with an aptitude to take on new tasks that may not be well defined.

Preferred Qualifications:

Exposure to advances in Artificial Intelligence and how AI is applied to design and/or process improvement.
Familiarity with assembly language and System Verilog, with UVM as a career growth opportunity.
Basic understanding of interfaces to embedded digital/analog peripherals found on Microchip PIC16 and PIC18 microcontrollers.
Well versed at using git and bitbucket for version control and collaboration would be a plus.
