As a Ceramic Matrix Composites Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in the development and optimization of ceramic matrix composites (CMCs) for various applications. You will be responsible for designing, testing, and analyzing CMC materials and structures to meet performance requirements. Your expertise in CMCs will contribute to the advancement of cutting-edge technologies and solutions.
You will work out of our South Bend, IN location on a hybrid work schedule(after 90 days), combining on-site and remote work. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and deliver high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and develop ceramic matrix composites (CMCs) for specific applications.
• Conduct testing and analysis of CMC materials and structures to evaluate performance and ensure compliance with requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize CMC manufacturing processes and improve product quality.
• Provide technical expertise and support to internal and external stakeholders.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in CMC technology and contribute to the development of intellectual property.
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization
Must Haves:
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 1 years of experience in ceramic matrix composites (CMCs) development and characterization.
• Strong knowledge of CMC materials, manufacturing processes, and testing techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
We Value:
• Master's degree or higher in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with CMC applications in aerospace, automotive, or energy industries.
• Knowledge of advanced characterization techniques for CMC
• Strong project management skills.
