**Description**

Provide technical advice and guidance for all phases of civil engineering projects and programs,

ensuring the successful conclusion within an appropriate time and at an appropriate cost.

+ Review, investigate and develop appropriate recommendations regarding assigned engineering projects

+ Manage projects and serve as subject matter expert (SME) on large/complex site planning/construction, expansions, or modifications

+ Provide guidance and counsel to the site management team on applicable processes, practices, and existing/proposed local, state and federal regulations

+ Contribute to site strategic planning and budgeting efforts for designated engineering areas

+ Develop and evaluate AFE’s (Authorization for Expenditure) for capital funding requests

+ May evaluate and administer contracts with vendors for the provision of services and equipment

+ May represent the site on company sponsored steering committees, task forces, or teams

+ Perform other duties as required

**Qualifications**

Minimum Requirements:

+ Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related Engineering discipline and five (5) years related experience in Engineering or a related field, OR

+ Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related Engineering discipline and three (3) years related experience in Engineering or related field

+ Working knowledge and experience with Civil Engineering applications, which could include design, construction and maintenance of infrastructure

+ Broad knowledge of the principles and practices of Civil Engineering

+ Ability to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusions

+ Skill in managing large/complex Engineering projects

+ Skill in effective communication, both verbal and written

+ Ability to evaluate and implement new methods and techniques for operational improvement

+ Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions

+ Skill in following safety practices and recognizing hazards

Preferred:

+ Professional Engineering license

+ Experience with cost estimating for civil projects, project scheduling and project controls

+ Experience using engineering software (AutoCAD/Civil 3D, ArcGIS, GoldSim), programming languages

+ Experience working in Mining environment and/or residential construction

**What We Offer You**

The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently **$98,000-$137,000.** This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
