4th shift :

MON & FRI - 10:00PM – 6:00AM

AND

SAT & SUN - 10:00PM – 10:00 AM

Receives incoming freight, express, and city delivery items; fills out forms for returned goods and special delivery packages; checks item count, and description against in-shipment receipts; and, delivers material to appropriate departments.

Key Responsibilities

+ Receives incoming parcel post and express packages; unloads incoming packages/materials/product and express packages from delivery trucks to dock trucks or skids; moves loads to receiving room; matches insured numbers on parcels against postal department check sheets; matches number on express packages against express charge slips; sorts packages into separate crates according to destination; and, moves loaded skids to outgoing areas.

+ Checks packages for packing lists; opens paper containers with knives and wooden containers with nail puller or pinch bar; removes packing list from package; matches item count and description against materials in packages; and performs the necessary computer transactions to receipt products.

+ Checks incoming material against in-shipment receipts; reads in-shipment receipt for item count, weight, and description of goods; counts items and indicates count on receipt; initials receipts if tally is correct; notifies Group Leader in case of error; and, delivers parcels to appropriate destination.

+ Loads outgoing materials from dock to motor trucks; sorts loads by destination; moves from dock to truck with electric or hand trucks; and, spots load on truck as directed.

+ Frequently handles cartons, boxes and crates of freight, express, and parcel post. Walk or stands continuously. Sustained physical effort, Lifts materials of varying weights. Occasionally lifts heavy material. Exposed to outside weather conditions while working on dock. Push and pull loaded trucks.

The annual base salary range for this position is . Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
