Northrop Grumman Defense Systems, operating within the Strategic Deterrent Systems Division (SDS), is seeking a **Senior Manager of Supply Chain Programs for the role of Manager 3** , in **Roy, UT,** within the Supplier Capabilities and Production Readiness Team.

**What You’ll Get To Do:**

The individual in this role will lead efforts to continuously evaluate the SDS Industrial base for (current and emerging) capabilities and its ability to provide continuing support to all programs within the SDS portfolio. This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Global Supply Chain Management for the Strategic Deterrent Systems Division.

The Manager, Supplier Capabilities and Production Readiness will lead and collaborate with a diverse team of supply chain professionals and cross-functional stakeholders responsible for monitoring the health, capacity, production readiness and overall capabilities of SDS supply team members. This manager’s responsibilities include collaborating with senior level division, IPT/Element, and program executive leadership to understand business requirements and identify and manage capabilities of the SDS supply chain needed to support SDS Division requirements and strategies.

Primary focus for this role will include initial and continuous assessments of key supplier capabilities to understand readiness state for production, identify and mitigate risks, and to identify the state of production capacities and emerging or declining capabilities.

**Specific duties will include:**

+ GSC Lead for all Supplier Manufacturing Readiness Assessments (MRAs)

+ GSC Focal point for Production Operations

+ Conducts MRAs/Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) assessments with a multi-functional team and own MRL maturity tracking for the supplier base.

+ Supports supply chain program execution as follows:

+ Conduct Risk evaluations associated with industrial base health, readiness for transition to production, capacity monitoring, etc.

+ Lead Strategic sourcing tasks such as right-sizing the Approved Supplier List, identifying and developing alternate sources for long lead parts, Right to Buy agreements, DSMS strategy, etc.

+ Briefs GSC Leadership, the execution Segments, Program Management Office (PMO) and Division executive management on the status of supplier capabilities and any related issues impacting supplier’s ability to perform

+ Establishes and maintain an SDS Industrial Base dashboard with key metrics identified that align with SDS business objectives.

+ Serves as primary focal point for GSC on all supplier capabilities related issues

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience, four additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree

+ Minimum of 3 years in a formal lead/management position

+ Minimum of 3 years of experience interfacing directly with suppliers

+ Minimum of 3 years of experience collaborating with senior level stakeholders and experience monitoring production readiness to achieve project objectives

+ Willingness and ability to travel to multiple supplier locations (may be up to 50% travel)

+ Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Experience leading and/or participating in DoD defined MRAs of suppliers in the Aerospace and Defense industry.

+ Experience in managing cost-reimbursable subcontracts.

+ 4+ years leading and/or managing teams (direct reports and/or dotted line)

+ Excellent (written, verbal and briefing) communication skills.

**Salary Range:** $141,900 - $212,900

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
