Facilities Assistant
POSITION SUMMARY
The Facilities Team Member is responsible for cleaning and caring for the Heights Locations. This team member will demonstrate characteristics that are in alignment with the church’s Mission and Vision which leads others to Encounter Jesus, Engage in their faith with Jesus, and be Empowered to serve Jesus.
(Status: Non-Exempt, Full Time, 40 hours per week, Part-time is also an option)
BASIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Cleaning and care of campus to an established excellence level, with the goal to make visitors feel welcome and comfortable
Attend to the needs of those on campus from a custodial perspective. Assist those facilitating events/meetings to access buildings and have necessary equipment for a successful event
Cleaning of facilities including but not limited to: sweeping, mopping, polishing floors, cleaning windows, dusting, cleaning restrooms, cleaning chairs, empty trash receptacles, etc
Stocking products in restrooms and other areas, including but not limited to paper products, soap products, cleaning supplies, etc.
Set-up and tear down of rooms for services, meetings and/or events, including: tables, chairs, benches and various equipment
Unlock and lock up/close down buildings properly
Operate golf cart or gas powered vehicles (Rangers)
This position may include working the following: Evenings from 1:30p-10p and some holidays
Perform other duties as assigned, which may include, but not limited to: assist with grounds, participate when large tent is assembled, work events such as Easter or Christmas
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A personal relationship with Jesus Christ
Ability to work in a fast-paced and change-oriented environment
Must be versatile and collaborative team player with the ability to work independently
Ability to lift and move 25 pounds repetitively
Availability to work a flexible schedule that may include: evenings, weekends and some holidays
Demonstrate evidence of a Christ-like attitude in words and actions, with humility
Committed to vision, values and beliefs of Heights Church
Self-starter—able to work independently
Team-oriented—able to work with staff, leaders, and serve team
