Job Description
Under supervision uses advanced special-purpose cameras and related equipment for assignments, in which the photographer determines the technical decisions. Receives test parameters from section chief or test officer, and is responsible for the implementation of a multiple camera array operation. Some assignments are characterized by extremes in light values, and the use of complicated equipment. Candidate improvises photographic methods and techniques with lighting, background, exposure, and stop action. Types of equipment used at this level are: Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) cameras, fixed and adjustable focal length lenses, artificial illumination, video cameras, recorders, timing inserters, computers and monitors. Photographs are taken to document events; photos are then processed, uploaded to network storage and copied to media, as required. Operates and monitors still photo and video capturing equipment at test site or in fixed wing aircraft or helicopters while in flight. Performs operator maintenance on equipment. Maintains records and logbooks. Photographs damage to equipment or vehicles or Technical Infusion/Sustainment items, as required. Guides small team of technicians. Performs other duties as needed to ensure completion of test mission. This position is covered under the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Qualifications
Pay Rate: $28.95Education/Licenses/Certifications/Experience Requirements:* Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.* Must have one of the following: 2 years’ experience in a related field, OR related Trade School / Military training AND 2 years’ related experience.Job Skills Requirements:* None.Physical Requirements:* Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical and periodic retests.* Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work tasks assigned.* Must be capable of working in extreme weather conditions including summer temperatures peaking around 120 degrees Fahrenheit.* Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs. unassisted.* Must be able to climb ladders safely.* Must be capable of kneeling, squatting, bending and standing while performing duties.* May be require to have applicable flight physicals and maintain ability to fly on test aircraft.* Must be able to distinguish colors. * Must be able to distinguish colors.
