Fleet Mechanic - EVT Apprentice: Starting wage $21.58/hr
Fleet Mechanic I: Starting wage $23.09/hr
Fleet Mechanic II: Starting wage $24.70/hr
Fleet Mechanic III: Starting wage $27.17/hr

Primary Function: The primary function of a Fleet Mechanic is to perform preventative maintenance and repairs of all apparatus and equipment as assigned. This position is under the direct supervision of the Lead Fleet Maintenance Technician.
Position: Fleet Mechanic - EVT Apprentice
Starting Wage: $21.58/hr ($44,881/yr)

Status: Full-time - 40 hrs/week - Non-exempt
Minimum Qualifications: All certifications must be current and maintained
Fleet Mechanic - EVT Apprentice:
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Eighteen (18) years of age or older.
• Possess and maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license (Class D) with acceptable driving record.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) – Class B-CDL with tanker and air brake endorsements within one (1) year of appointment to the position.
• One (1) year work experience in the automotive field.
• Must have basic complement of mechanic’s tools.
Position: Fleet Mechanic I
Starting Wage: $23.09/hr ($48,023/yr)
Safety Sensitive: Yes
Status: Full-time 40 hrs/week - Non-exempt
Minimum Qualifications: All certifications must be current and maintained
Fleet Mechanic I:
• Possess and maintain the Fire Apparatus Technician Level I, Ambulance Technician Level I, and as outlined by the Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) Certification Commission (evtcc.org/tracks)
• ASE T4, T5, A4, and A5
• EVT F1, F2, E0
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Eighteen (18) years of age or older.
• Possess and maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license (Class D) with acceptable driving record.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) – Class B-CDL with tanker and air brake endorsements within one (1) year of appointment to the position
• One (1) year work experience in the automotive field.
• One (1) year work experience in heavy truck field.
• Must have complement of basic mechanics tools.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) – Class B-CDL with tanker and air brake endorsements within one (1) year of appointment to the position.
Position: Fleet Mechanic II
Starting Wage: $24.70/hr ($51,385/yr)
Safety Sensitive: Yes
Status: Full-time 40 hrs/week - Non-exempt
Minimum Qualifications: All certifications must be current and maintained
Fleet Mechanic II:
• Must possess and maintain the Fire Apparatus Technician Level I, Ambulance Technician Level I certifications as outlined by the Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) Certification Commission (evtcc.org/tracks):

Starting Salary: $56,523/yr

Minimum Qualifications: All certifications must be current and maintained
Fleet Mechanic III:
• Must possess and maintain all of the following current certifications as outlined by the Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) Certification Commission (evtcc.org/tracks)
• EVT Fire Apparatus Technician Levels I and II
• Ambulance Technician Levels I and II
• Must possess and maintain Fire Apparatus Technician Level III, Ambulance Technician Level III as outlined by the Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) Certification Commission (evtcc.org/tracks
