Smyth Industries Electrical Division is currently searching for an individual with Water Infrastructure Industry experience as an Electrician to help enhance our current team. We provide full-service electrical, civil, manufacturing, engineering and general contracting services for the water and reclamation industry.
The ideal candidate will foster teamwork and create a positive work environment in a fast-paced industry, while helping our Arizona clients engineer, rehabilitate, manufacture and construct water distribution and treatment infrastructure.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
+ Exhibit the ability to project materials needed to complete assigned task.
+ Provide effective project communication, both orally and in writing.

+ Manage installations by reading blueprints and learning where circuits, panel boards, and outlets need to be placed during construction projects, responsible for installing these electrical components and implementing the wiring that is necessar
+ Proficient with acquiring project materials needed to complete assigned task.
+ Experienced with both electronic and written project documentation.
+ Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment and keep parts and supplies in order.
+ Perform semi-skilled and skilled laboring duties related to installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment.
+ Reassemble equipment, using hand tools.
+ Ability to select tools to complete daily job tasks.
+ Proficient in the use of powered conduit benders, forklift, trencher, basic hand tools to perform daily job functions: screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, cordless drills, hand operated saw, level etc.
+ Proficient in the installation of conduit (pipe or tubing), PVC, IMC, or rigid steel conduit underground or aboveground.
+ Proficient with wire terminations
+ Proficient with the use of test equipment such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, toners, and ammeters to check the circuits for proper connections, ensuring electrical compatibility and safety components.
+ Install coaxial, fiber optics and ethernet.
+ Ability to lead a team, complete project assigned tasks, while working under minimal supervision
+ Document actions, testing results, observations, final diagnosis of the situation and steps taken to resolve issues for each job or situation.
+ Maintain, troubleshoot/repair electrical systems by replacing or installing components, wiring or devices.
+ Maintain equipment to ensure it is in good condition and can operate safety; report any issues immediate Foreman/Supervisor.
People
+ Mentor and train field staff to develop ways to more efficiently complete assign task while building a strong team environment.
+ Develop a team relationship with other divisions sharing resources to successfully complete projects on time and under budget.
+ Establish and maintain working relationships with owners, agencies, subcontractors, inspectors, etc., providing customer service to develop long-term partnerships with client base and stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications
+ 5-7+ years of experience as an electrician working in an industrial/commercial environment.
+ 3-5 years of experience bending and installing above, and underground conduit required.
+ 3-5 years of experience installing utility service entrance sections, drops, junction boxes, point of deliveries and/or primary-secondary.
+ 3-5 years of experience installing and wired industrial electrical panels, electrical motors, high voltage and low voltage AC and DC Branch circuits, variable frequency drive (VFD), soft starter, pressure devices and related instruments.
+ Strong mechanical, analytical, and solution driven skill
+ Demonstrate the ability to reference information from the NEC, state, and local building regulations.
+ Prior construction experience required.
+ Self-motivated, task-oriented, leader
+ Required to possess a valid driver's license and legally be able to operate a company vehicle.
+ Required to pass a preemployment drug screening.
+ Must be able to physically perform all required duties which may include bending, lifting 50-pound objects, carrying 50-pound items, squatting, climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, working outdoors most of the time, or standing for prolonged periods of time.
+ Required to wear company supplied Personal Protective Equipment.
+ Applicant should be comfortable work around industrial equipment.
+ Knowledgeable reading and connecting field wiring using ladder drawings.
+ English is required for the safety and effective performance of this job
