Rural Electric is seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial and heavy commercial electrical work, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the trade. As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in industrial settings. You will work with a variety of tools and equipment to ensure that electrical systems operate safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Install electrical systems and equipment in industrial environments
- Both underground distribution and above ground distribution.
- Familiar with OCAL and GRC
- Understanding of controls and automation
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to complete projects efficiently
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an electrician, with a focus on industrial and heavy commercial projects
- Proficiency in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification
- 5+ years of experience
- Knowledge of PLCs, MCC’s, MCP’s, etc.
- Familiar with OCAL and GRC
