Description
Support the Accounting department in maintaining proper financial statements in accordance with GAAP, and other financial reporting requirements.
Essential Duties – Order does not necessarily indicate duty importance.
Follow all company policies and procedures.
Follow and ensure compliance to quality system and cGMP programs.
Have a general understanding and correctly apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Assist with daily review, monitor and record journal entries relating to cash/banking activity.
Assist in month-end close process, including account reconciliations and posting journal entries.
Review of manufacturing variances. Understanding of Work Order process and effects.
File sales and use tax returns, surveys, and other compliance requirements as needed.
Maintain documentation and support for personal property taxes, and file annual personal property tax returns.
Facilitate accounting for fixed assets including capitalization, documentation, monitoring the fixed asset subledger. Reconcile subledger to GL.
Assist with the preparation of supporting documents and ad-hoc requests for the annual financial audit.
Assist with physical inventory, cycle counts audits, and analysis of changes.
Support and assist internal department reporting requirements as well as ad-hoc projects.
Work collaboratively with other departments as required.
Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
Reports to Finance Controller.
Requirements
Non-supervisory role.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred
Three to five years of general ledger experience.
No certifications or licenses required.
Proficient in MSFT Office applications. Complex computer skills needed, emphasis in MS Excel. MSFT Dynamics experience preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Must have a commitment to lifetime learning
Ability to efficiently and effectively perform all essential position duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation without posing a direct safety threat to self or others.
Maintain a regular and dependable work attendance record with few instances of unplanned and/or unexpected absence
