CASA Speech Therapy DBA The SPEAK Center for Language and Learning is Arizona’s newest therapist owned home health agency and is in need of caring therapists to provide in home and clinic based speech therapy services. The SPEAK Center for Language and Learning is looking for a dynamic therapist to join our team as the Lead Speech Language Pathologist full time. This position will take place in our clinic along with some home health settings.
The Lead SLP will serve as as a member of the operations team at The SPEAK Center, providing mentorship to students and assistants, maintaining a diverse caseload of clients, assisting with leading the speech department and leading the school SLP team!
Qualifications:
Position requires licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist from Arizona Department of Health Services and or Arizona Department of Education Certificate in the area of speech-language pathology.
Arizona licensure and a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) issued by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association are required.
Skill Requirements:
This position requires knowledge of evaluation procedures and treatment methodologies for individuals with communication disorders in the areas of articulation, language, voice and fluency. The applicant must have the ability to administer and interpret a variety of evaluation instruments, make recommendations for intervention and provide appropriate intervention services. This position requires the ability to work as a team member and communicate clearly with parents, teachers, school administrators, and other professionals regarding evaluations, treatment and recommendations for students with communication disorders. Considerable judgment, tact, patience, sensitivity, and flexibility are required to work with students and families from varied socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. The applicant must have knowledge of and be able to interpret State, Local and Federal regulations affecting the identification and treatment of students with disabilities. Applicant must demonstrate written language and computer skills needed to complete paperwork as required.
Job Purpose and Responsibility:
This position is responsible for the evaluation, interpretation of results and participation in special education eligibility decisions for students with speech impairments. This position is also responsible for developing and implementing intervention/treatment plans (Individual Educational Plans- IEPs) for students who are speech impaired. Adherence to Local policies and procedures as well as to State and Federal laws and regulations are required.
Essential Functions:
Maintain a caseload of 30-35 patients in the following settings: Home Health, Clinic
Complete speech and language evaluations and plans of care as needed (avg of 3-4 evaluations per month)
Complete documentation in a timely manner
Supervise 2-3 SLPAs working in the following settings: Home Health, Clinic
Supervise at least 1 graduate student per semester
Participate in company sponsored events
SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday 10:00 AM-6:30 PM

COMPENSATION:
$70,000-$78,000/yr DOE
