As a Hotel Dishwasher/Stewarding Supervisor at Hospitality Services Group, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the cleanliness, organization, and efficiency of our kitchen and dining areas. You will oversee a team of stewards and dishwashers, leading by example to maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety. Your strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence will contribute to the overall success of our food and beverage operations and enhance the guest experience.

Location: Scottsdale, AZ
Shift: Must be flexible to work 1st and 2nd shift
Pay: $24/hr.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Supervision and Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to the stewarding team, including dishwashers and kitchen porters, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
• Staff Training and Development: Train new stewards on proper cleaning procedures, equipment operation, and safety protocols, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure continuous improvement and skill development.
• Inventory Management: Oversee the inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained and conducting regular inventory audits to minimize waste and control costs.
• Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure that kitchen equipment, dishwashers, and other stewarding tools are properly maintained, repaired, and serviced as needed to ensure optimal performance.
• Cleaning and Sanitation: Monitor the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen areas, including dishwashing areas, storage areas, and equipment, and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Waste Management: Implement waste management procedures to minimize food waste, recycle materials where possible, and ensure proper disposal of garbage and other waste in accordance with environmental regulations.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and standards to prevent accidents and injuries, including proper handling of chemicals, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and adherence to safety guidelines in all stewarding activities.
• Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, food and beverage managers, and other departments to coordinate stewarding activities, address issues or concerns, and ensure seamless operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Previous Experience: Proven experience in a similar supervisory role in a hotel, restaurant, or hospitality setting, with a strong understanding of kitchen operations, cleaning procedures, and sanitation standards.
• Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate, coach, and mentor team members, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork and collaboration.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail in overseeing cleaning tasks, inspecting equipment, and maintaining cleanliness standards, ensuring a sanitary and hygienic environment for food preparation and service.
• Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and coordinate multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, implement solutions, and make decisions quickly and effectively to ensure smooth operations.
• Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate instructions, provide feedback, and interact professionally with team members and other stakeholders.
• Adaptability: Flexibility to work variable shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as the ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements in a dynamic work environment.
• Knowledge of Safety Regulations: Understanding of health and safety regulations, including food safety standards, OSHA guidelines, and chemical handling procedures, to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
