Job Description:
Microchip is seeking a Sr. Marketing Specialist for our APID (Analog Power & Interface Division) business unit. In this role you will play a crucial role in streamlining and optimizing the marketing processes and systems that drive the success of our analog product lines. You will work closely with cross-functional teams (Product Engineering, Corporate Planning, Quality, Finance, Sales, etc.) to ensure efficient operations, data-driven decision-making and effective execution of marketing strategies. This role requires a blend of analytical skills, project management capabilities, and a deep understanding of marketing principles.
Additional responsibility includes executing and managing the day-to-day marketing activities that drive awareness, engagement, and demand for our analog product lines. This role requires a hands-on approach, a strong understanding of marketing tactics, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of marketing campaigns/strategies.
Job Description
Process Optimization - Identify and implement improvements to marketing processes, workflows, and tools to enhance efficiency and productivity. Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for marketing activities.
Data Management and Analysis - Oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of marketing performance metrics. Utilize data to provide actionable insights and recommendations for optimizing marketing strategies. Maintain and manage marketing databases and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Project Management - Manage marketing projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and successful delivery. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including product management, sales, and creative, to align marketing efforts with business objectives. Track project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
Marketing Technology - Evaluate, implement, and manage marketing technology tools and platforms. Train team members on new tools and ensure their effective utilization. Stay updated with the latest marketing technology trends and best practices.
Collaboration and Communication - Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and provide marketing operations support. Communicate project status, insights, and results to stakeholders and senior management.
Tactical Support - Lead, manage, and execute assigned projects, along with providing daily support and handling escalations for the product line.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or Master's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field
2+ years of tactical marketing/business operations role, preferably in semiconductor industry
Proven track record of executing successful marketing projects/initiatives
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate insights
Ability to analyze processes and information, identify problems and trends, and develop effective solutions and strategies
Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent communication, interpersonal, peer coaching/mentorship, and conflict resolution skills
Experience with software platforms and applications such as Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Sharepoint and TEAMS), Tableau, ModelN, and Sales Force
Microsoft Excel expertise with advanced knowledge of pivots, charts, and formulas is a must
