As a **Post Doctoral Studies Psychologist** within Banner's Whole Health Clinic, this position works as a health-care professional assisting Psychologists and other mental health practitioners with patients under their care. Their duties involve direct patient care and assessment to help evaluate, diagnose and treat individuals who need mental-health treatment. At a Minimum, Candidates for this position **MUST** be enrolled (and completed 1 year) in a PsyD or PhD program in Clinical Counseling or Psychology.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position works as a health-care professional assisting Psychologists and other mental health practitioners with patients under their care. Their duties involve direct patient care and assessment to help evaluate, diagnose and treat individuals who need mental-health treatment.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Provide direct patient care, including assessment and intervention services, in outpatient and/or inpatient settings, under the supervision of a licensed psychologist or other mental health practitioner that retains primary responsibility for patient care.
2. Evaluation services may include intake/diagnostic clinical interviews, standardized administration and scoring of psychological/neuropsychological tests, preliminary diagnostic impressions, feedback/psychoeducation, and timely documentation of assessment results.
3. Intervention services may include individual, couples, family, and group psychotherapy, consultation, psychoeducation, and timely documentation of clinical encounters.
4. Non-clinical duties include attending required supervision, case conference, didactics, and scholarly activities as determined by the licensed supervisor.
5. Adherence to the American Psychological Association’s Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of Conduct, as well as University of Arizona, Banner Healthcare, and Department of Psychiatry policies and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be currently be enrolled in a Psy.D. or Ph.D. program in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or School of Psychology, have completed one or more years of graduate work in a clinical or counseling psychology program.
Additional or alternative qualifications and experience (for example, enrollment in a Behavioral Analysis or Special Education program) may be required for specific clinical placements as determined by the clinical supervisor.
Employees working at BUMG, BUMCT, or BUMCS in a Behavioral Health clinical setting that serves children must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment.
