ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Lead Building Automation Controls Technician here at Honeywell Building Automation (BA), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of building automation systems. You will be accountable for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting HVAC, fire, and alarm control systems. Your expertise in building automation controls, including Tridium Niagara systems, will contribute to the overall energy efficiency, sustainability, and productivity of our customers' facilities.

You will report to the Sr Field Service Supervisor and travel to the customer sites in the Charlotte, NC metro area.

You will be issued a company vehicle, cell phone, laptop, uniform and PPE.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Install, program, and maintain building automation systems, including HVAC, fire, and alarm systems.

+ Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to building automation controls.

+ Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections to ensure the optimal performance of automation systems.

+ Work with cross-functional teams to implement system upgrades and enhancements.

+ Provide technical facilitation and training to customers and field service engineers.

+ Other duties as assigned.

YOU MUST HAVE

+ 5+ years of experience in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting building automation controls.

+ Niagara Tridium certification or experience.

+ HS Diploma or equivalent.

+ Valid Driver's license.

WE VALUE

+ Technical degree is a plus.

+ N4 certification.

+ General network knowledge

+ Experience working with open protocols (BACnet, Modbus, OPC, LON, etc.)

+ Preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair experience

+ Experience with Tridium, Niagara, N4, EBI, or other Commercial Industrial Systems
