Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a PAINTER T32, Position Description Number PDD2127000and is part of the AZ CSMS, National Guard. Responsibilities This position is located with the Combined Support Maintenance Shop (CSMS) in Phoenix, Arizona. The primary purpose of this position is to prepare and apply coating materials such as paints, varnishes, and rust proofing compounds on stationary and mobile equipment and on combat, tactical, and commercial vehicles. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Military Grades: Enlisted: PFC/E-3 to SGM/CSM/E-9 Warrant Officer Candidate: WOC Warrant Officer: WO1/W-1 Compatible Military Assignments: Must possess or be able to obtain 12, 91, or 92 Series MOS. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 18 months experience or training which demonstrates the candidate's knowledge of any surface preparation and coating methods and techniques. Skill in building up, shaping, and leveling surfaces with metal and synthetic resins, plastics, and patching compounds; obtain finely smoothed surfaces with abrasive compounds, pumice, and rottenstone; even out dents and scars by burning-in processes; and treat surfaces with pre-coating agents. Experience must also demonstrate the skill to brush on, roll on, and spray coating materials, and apply other related methods and techniques, such as cutting-in techniques and dip and overflow methods. Experience which required the applicant to interpret and follow technical orders, specifications or publications. Education You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
