A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN IT, System Integrations Developer

The Systems Integration Developer plays a key role in creating data integration services for Castle Biosciences. This position is responsible for gathering requirements to develop new integration software and identifying platforms and tools to deliver effective solutions for Castle Biosciences' customers. To excel in this role, a candidate must have practical knowledge and experience in data integrations and healthcare interoperability standards, such as HL7, FHIR, and CDA. The ideal candidate will also need the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines. In addition to technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate across teams are essential.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related field, or 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
2+ years of experience in Agile methodology software development (SCRUM or KANBAN).
2+ years of experience building and configuring RESTful APIs and web services.
Working knowledge of AWS cloud services or Microsoft Azure.
Advanced programming skills in SQL, Java, and JavaScript.
Broad knowledge of computer network services (e.g., VPN, LAN/WAN, public/private cloud networking, etc.).
Practical knowledge of interoperability concepts and messaging standards, such as HL7, FHIR, C-CDA, etc.
Actively displays behaviors that support the mission, vision, and values of Castle Biosciences.
