**Compensation and Schedule for the Phlebotomist**
Phlebotomist – Full-time and Part-time, onsite, $16.50-$21 per hour, night shift differential, day and night shifts available after training, rotating every other weekend including holidays. Join a growing hospital!
**Required Qualifications of the Phlebotomist**
- 6+ months of recent hospital phlebotomy experience required
- Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test required
- Completed phlebotomy externship required
- Phlebotomy certification (ASCP or AMT) from an accredited agency preferred
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screen
**R** **esponsibilities of the Phlebotomist**
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
- Input patient information in an accurate and timely manner
- Process billing information and collect payments when required
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs
- Provide superior customer service to all patients
- Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed
