As a Federal Project Management Leader here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing federal Energy (Energy Savings Performance Contracting), Resiliency & Sustainability projects to ensure successful delivery within scope, budget, and schedule. You will be responsible for overseeing the Federal portfolio of projects – lifecycle, from initiation to closure, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive project success. Your leadership and project management skills will contribute to the growth and success of our business in the federal sector.
You will report directly to our General Manager and you'll work out of our Washington, D.C. location on a hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will have a significant impact on our federal projects by providing strategic guidance, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, and driving continuous improvement. Your ability to effectively manage resources, mitigate risks, and communicate with stakeholders will be instrumental in achieving project objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage a team of Project Management resources to staff opportunities and projects in coordination with support from engineering, sales, and business functions
• Lead and manage federal projects from opportunity initiation through construction to closure, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project objectives, deliverables, and milestones
• Develop and implement project management methodologies and best practices to drive efficiency and effectiveness
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies
• Ensure compliance with federal regulations and standards throughout the project lifecycle
• Communicate project status, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders and senior management

YOU MUST HAVE
• Strong knowledge of federal regulations and standards
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects within scope, budget, and timeline
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to travel > 50%

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field OR minimum of 8 years of experience in project management, with a focus on federal projects
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Experience working with federal agencies and government contracts
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills
• CAC card and Federal Contractor credentials
• Direct experience working with USACE, CEHNC, DLA, GSA among other Federal agencies
