**Where You Will Work **
Located approximately 50 miles northeast of Safford, Arizona on U.S. Highway 191, Morenci operations (an open-pit copper mining complex) has been in continuous operation since 1939. The operation consists of two concentrators, crushed-ore leach pad and stacking system, a low-grade run-of-mine (ROM) leaching system; four SX plants; and three EW tank houses that produce copper cathode.

**What You Will Do**
+ Review, investigate, and develop appropriate recommendations regarding assigned Engineering projects.
+ Manage projects and serve as subject matter expert (SME) on large/complex site planning/construction, expansion, or modifications.
+ Provide guidance and counsel to the site management team on applicable processes, practices, and existing/proposed local, state and federal regulations.
+ Contribute to site strategic planning and budgeting efforts for designated Engineering areas.
+ Develop and evaluate AFE’s (Authorization for Expenditure) for capital funding requests.
+ May evaluate and administer contracts with vendors for the provision of services and equipment.
+ May represent the site on company sponsored steering committees, task forces, or teams.
+ Perform other duties as required.
**What You Bring To Freeport**
+ Bachelor's degree in an appropriate Engineering discipline and five (5) years of related experience in Engineering or a related field, OR
+ Master's degree in an appropriate Engineering discipline and three (3) years of related experience in Engineering or related field
+ Knowledge of the principles and practices of Engineering
+ Ability to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusions.
+ Skill in managing large/complex Engineering projects.
+ Skill in effective communication, both verbal and written.
+ Ability to evaluate and implement new methods and techniques for operational improvement.
+ Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
+ Skill in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Advanced degree or Professional Engineering (PE) Certification
+ CMRP
+ Supervisory Experience
+ Ability to manage and lead a team of multidisciplinary Engineers
+ Bluestake process knowledge
**What We Offer You**
The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently **$98,000-$137,000** . This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
