We are looking for an experienced Sr Electrical Engineer with a Professional Engineer license to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to the design, engineering, commissioning, operation, maintenance, and enhancement of our Combined Heat and Power (CHP) and Distributed Thermal Plant (DTP) systems.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Electrical Subsystems, particularly in the context of CHP and DTP systems, ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of our campus facilities. Your responsibilities will include:

• Troubleshooting electrical assemblies

• Supporting the development of systems from concept to manufacturing

• Collaborating with other engineers to create necessary designs

You will be part of a team focused on achieving program-specific performance within Honeywell Building Technologies. Collaborate with world-class engineers and leaders to implement product strategies, develop program schedules and milestones, define technology roadmaps, and drive improvements in engineering quality and productivity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare estimates and proposals for capital and modernization projects

• Apply technical standards and procedures to carry out tasks

• Ensure compliance with appropriate standards in all techniques, procedures, and designs

• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system errors

• Provide input on equipment design and development throughout the structural design process

• Participate in Honeywell onsite Technical Services for root cause analysis and investigations during plant shutdowns

• Publish technical audit reports

• Support the manufacturing of components and address any manufacturing queries

• Evaluate vendor performance

YOU MUST HAVE:

•Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics

• 2+ years of experience with electronic circuit design and development

•5+ years of industrial experience to include engineering, installation or commission of turbines, boilers, chillers, and pumps

WE VALUE:

•Professional Engineer License issued by the state of Maryland

•Experience working with classification society rules for electrical systems

•Strong understanding of Electrical subsystem operation for Turbines, Boilers and Balance of Plant

•Plant Load shedding control strategy

•Ability to work in a team environment

•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

•Experience working with site inspections, construction supervision, and contract administration

•Strong knowledge of electrical installation safety

•Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events.

•Demonstrated Earned Value Management skills
