**Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS)** is seeking a Quality Manager to join and support the Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) & Precision Inspection Team in Mesa, AZ!
This Quality Management position is a key member of the leadership team and is located at the Boeing site in Mesa, Arizona. This position is looking for a detail oriented, highly organized change agent to lead a team of Inspection Professionals through the development and implementation of technical strategies to bolster compliance, repeatability, and sustainability within the Quality Organization. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports.
**Position Responsibilities:**
+ Manages, develops, and motivates a group of roughly 20 direct reports while fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
+ Acquires and manages resources to ensure inspections satisfy all customer and technical requirements and support required commitment dates
+ Provides leadership oversight to ensure organizational compliance is maintained in multiple inspection disciplines throughout the product lifecycle from training & certification through inspection, documentation, and record retention.
+ NDT Oversight: Ensure compliance to Boeing, Industry, and Customer requirements across multiple NDT Methods – Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Radiographic Testing (RT), Eddy Current Testing (ET), Penetrant Testing (PT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) through management of tasks such as: method audit surveillances, process control monitoring, Measurement & Test Equipment reviews, asset inventory accountability reviews, technician proficiency & certification reviews.
+ Precision Inspection Oversight: Ensure compliance to Boeing, Industry, and Customer requirements supporting New and Used part inspections utilizing a wide variety of Measurement & Test Equipment ranging from hand tools to CMMs through management of tasks such as: inspection method surveillances, planning reviews, program control assessments, Measurement & Test Equipment reviews, asset inventory accountability reviews technician proficiency assessments, and area/environment compliance reviews.
+ Interface with Operations, Quality, Engineering, regulatory agencies and suppliers/partners to resolve issues impacting component build, test, and delivery. Develops and maintains strategic partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and direct reports
+ Monitor group performance against program and functional commitments
+ Data Analytics. Analyzes results, metrics and trends to influence team strategy and quality performance
+ Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
+ Acts as the initial point of escalation for issues or challenges encountered by the team. Capable of effectively triaging and de-escalating issues with impacted parties
+ Change Management leader to collaborate and influence cross-functional partners
+ Develops functional excellence for Quality across the supported Programs
+ Proactively communicates with leadership team, peers, and customers.
+ Keeps others informed by communicating business vision and strategies, program or project status, conducting and participating in leadership meetings, providing presentations and listening to employee concerns and suggestions.
+ Creates a culture of continuous improvement by communicating/deploying enterprise best practices and employee engagement to improve cost, quality, delivery, employee job satisfaction and customer satisfaction.
+ Works with other management partners across organizational and functional boundaries to execute on programs, drive improvements and corrective actions, identify and mitigate areas of risk, and proactively work to increase first time quality.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):**
+ More than 5 years of experience in NDI (non-destructive inspection) or NDT (non-destructive test)
+ More than 5 years of experience with Quality and/or Manufacturing processes and organizations
+ More than 3 years of experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with stakeholders (i.e. Customers, suppliers, peers and/or partners)
+ More than 3 years of experience with precision test and measurement devices
+ More than 1 year of experience performing or supervising nondestructive testing activities in a manufacturing environment
+ Leadership experience with technical employees
+ Proficient utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite
+ Experience using schematics, blueprints, sketches, manuals, technical documents, written information, verbal information, applicable procedures, codes and ordinances
**Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering or a related field
+ Current ASNT Level II or Level III Certification in one or more NDT methods
+ Experience with developing or evaluating cost/price proposals and business cases
+ More than 3 years of experience in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)

This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary pay range: $108,800 – $147,200
