job summary:

We are seeking a skilled SolidWorks Drafter/ CAD Drafter with experience in 3D modeling, frame assembly, and sheet metal design.

2 month contract with possible extension.

Required:

-Conversions to AutoCAD from Solidworks for layout and planning purposes.

-Fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, parts drawings, exploded view drawings for BOMs.

responsibilities:

+ 3D Modeling & Assemblies:

+ Design and model framework assemblies for small robotic cells using SolidWorks.

+ Work with square frame steel tubing weldments and extruded aluminum framing (e.g., 80/20 framing).

+ Create sheet metal parts and subassemblies.

+ Populate frames with various components and parts.

+ Drawing Creation:

+ Develop fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and parts drawings.

+ Generate exploded view drawings for Bill of Materials (BOM) documentation.

+ Produce detailed cut sheets for in-house fabrication.

+ Conversion & Integration:

+ Convert SolidWorks models into AutoCAD layouts for planning and coordination purposes.

+ Ensure designs align with fabrication and assembly needs.

+ Collaboration & Quality Assurance:

+ Collaborate with engineering and fabrication teams to ensure design feasibility and accuracy.

+ Verify drawing accuracy, part dimensions, and material specifications.
