Job Title: Systems Software Developer MESJob Description
Our Space PMO is seeking a Mid-Career level 3 Systems Software Developer. This position will primarily be work from home, though this could change depending on business conditions.
Responsibilities
+ Analyze, enhance, install, test, and modify enterprise-wide software systems.
+ Develop requirements, workflow, and perform systems analysis.
+ Correct program errors, prepare operating instructions, compile documentation of program development, and analyze system capabilities.
+ Establish standards for the development and maintenance of new and existing products.
+ Communicate with internal and external stakeholders; meet with team members and users to develop solutions.
+ Provide real-time gathering of inputs from the manufacturing work centers; document and track each item to closure within the requirements of the change control process.
+ Support the transition to iSeries including defining business processes and new software capability; implement and manage integration API elements using software configuration management practices.
+ Perform software development with a minor amount of system administration or data analytic responsibilities.
+ Prioritize work, perform work independently, and within a team. Ability to receive guidance from senior technical teammates.
+ Represent the organization to other business groups, provide sound technical understanding, and commit to performance within the margins of the system capabilities.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Mathematics, or STEM equivalent with 5 years of relevant experience, or 3 years of relevant experience with a Master's Degree.
+ Ability to analyze and validate the performance and validity of interfaces and supporting system software to specified system requirements.
+ Experience providing technical solutions consistent with organizational objectives and business processes.
+ Willingness to share a rotating schedule for on-call support over nights, weekends, and holidays with other team members.
+ Knowledge of software verification processes and techniques, test reporting, regression testing, and test data analysis.
+ Experience with relational databases such as Oracle and SQLServer including packages, procedures, and functions.
+ System integration experience.
+ Knowledge of network protocols including HTTP/HTTPS, FTP/FTPS, and TCP/IP.
+ Strong problem-solving skills.
+ Strong communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), preferably Solumina applications.
+ Experience with database queries and data mining using intermediate-level SQL.
+ Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, and Kubernetes framework.
+ Understanding of software INI, UDV, SQL libraries, and familiarity with version control systems like Git/Bitbucket.
+ Experience with ERP systems, preferably Deltek Costpoint.
+ Basic understanding of configuration management process flow and general manufacturing processing standards.
+ Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows and Linux, and best practices in server management.
+ Experience as a Web application developer is preferred.
+ Proven experience with full-stack Java development (Java, JUnit, Java EE, Swing).
+ Experience with JaxWs Restful services.
+ Experience with HTML, HTML5, CSS, JQuery, JavaScript, TypeScript, and JSON.
+ Experience with frameworks such as React or Angular.
+ Experience with modern IDE tools and testing mechanisms such as Eclipse and VsCode.
Work Environment
This role primarily involves working from home. Candidates must have manufacturing experience and knowledge of work instructions, drawings, and configuration management. The work environment can change depending on business conditions.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $75.00
