**The Opportunity**

As a _Process/Chemical Engineer Intern_ , you would function as a technical specialist, developing process solutions, performing treatment evaluations, and developing designs for facility enhancements. With some direction, you will develop and apply fundamental process engineering techniques, concepts, and approaches to solve complex water quality treatment problems. You will provide technical assistance on Municiple Wastewater Treatment projects with a focus on applying fundamental knowledge to field testing of advanced nutrient removal facilities.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Biological Systems Engineering

+ Experience or knowledge in Drinking Water, Wastewater, Industrial, or Gas, Fuels and Chemicals preferred

+ Strong background and expertise in environmental water, chemical, or biological processes and engineering systems

+ Knowledge of water or wastewater treatment process engineering principles or process modeling software

+ Technical Skills in leadership, collaboration, communication, and teamwork

**Minimum Qualifications**

No experience required. Current enrollment in ABET accredited university in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering program. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

**Work Environment**

This position will be located on afield project site. Must be willing to relocate for the summer 2025 internship program. Must have reliable transportation.
