Garden Network Program Coordinator
SUMMARY:
Program Coordinator School Garden Network activities and functions of the TUSD School Garden Network. This includes coordinating the food literacy program, nutrition and culinary education and professional development as well as engaging community partners, program reporting and other activities related to school garden network program expansion.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR GARDEN NETWORK PROGRAM COORDINATOR:
Bachelor’s Degree
AND
Four years of experience administering or coordinating programs related to nutrition, culinary education, food systems or gardening and public health.
OR
Eight (8) years of progressive experience administering or coordinating programs related to nutrition, culinary education, food systems or gardening and public health.
WITH
Knowledge and ability to use word processing, database, and spreadsheet programs.
One (1) year of supervisory experience.
Knowledge of federal and state legislative requirements related to specific program.
Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
Some positions within this classification may require some type of certification.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s Degree
Registered Dietician
Culinary Experience
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE:
FBI fingerprint background check
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
COMMENTS:
Program Coordinator School Garden pay range $58,184 to $67,547.43/year
