**Summary**
A Senior Pilot - Variable at SRP brings expertise in fixed-wing flight operations. This role involves professional piloting of SRP aircraft and performing non-flying duties essential for the flight department’s success. The position demands extensive experience and knowledge in airplane operations, along with the ability to quickly learn new aviation skills.
**What You'll Do**
+ Serve as a highly competent Pilot-In-Command (PIC) for SRP’s airplane which includes 1 Cessna Citation 560 series airplane.
+ Fly diverse missions such as parts support, corporate/VIP transport, and crew shuttles.
+ Operate in complex airspace (Phoenix metro area), across the U.S. and occasional trips to Mexico.
+ Perform occasional cross-country overnight trips.
+ The ability to perform short field takeoffs and landings.
+ Handle high-density altitudes and the ability to operate day and night in IFR conditions.
+ Ground handle aircraft and load equipment (able to lift 50 lbs.) as needed.
+ Interact with passengers to provide relevant flight information such as safety and schedules.
+ Perform non-flying tasks assigned by the flight department manager to ensure the department’s success.
**What It Takes To Succeed**
Fixed-wing PIC time of 4,000 hours, including at least 2,000 hours in multi-engine aircraft, 1,500 hours in turbojets, and 100 hours in the specific make and model, or as required by the current insurance carrier.
Hold the applicable type rating for SRP’s fixed-wing aircraft.
Successfully complete approved ground school and flight simulator training relevant to SRP’s fixed-wing aircraft operated within the preceding 12 months.
Exercise independent decision-making skills and self-dispatch capabilities within SRP safety management systems and SOPs.
Ability to integrate and communicate with SRP employee teams from diverse backgrounds, including union trade workers, engineers, environmental groups, and corporate executives.
Availability for flexible work hours and overtime shifts.
Maintain an FAA class II flight physical and a lifestyle conducive to safe flight operations.
**Hybrid Workplace**
SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
