Salary: $275,000.00 USD Annually - $330,000.00 USD Annually

This job will have the following responsibilities:

* Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments to determine the appropriate treatment plan for each patient.
* Provide medication management services by evaluating medication effectiveness and side effects, prescribing medication, and adjusting dosages as necessary.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient, including progress notes, treatment plans, and diagnosis codes.
* Provide clinical oversight and review of medical documentation created by PMHNPs servicing the Idaho practice.
* Collaborate with other mental health professionals, including therapists, psychologists, and social workers to provide comprehensive care to patients.
* Participate in treatment team meetings to provide updates on patient progress and coordinate care.
* Attend training and continuing education programs to stay current on best practices and new research in psychiatry.
* Service areas incorporated are: Tucson, AZ area, Southern Arizona

Qualifications & Requirements:

* Completion of a residency training program in psychiatry and two years of post residency experience as a psychiatrist in a psychiatric facility are required.
* M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school.
* Licensure as a physician in the applicable state.
* Licensed by the applicable State Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances
* Possession of a valid state driver's license may be required.

Required Skills/Abilities:

* Knowledge of general medicine and psychiatry; current developments in the field of psychiatry; hospital and clinic organization, management, and procedures.
* Ability to skillfully diagnose and treat severely and persistently mentally ill patients.
* Ability to analyze situations and adopt an effective course of action.
* Ability to prepare records and reports.
