The Engineering Technician VI will serve as a senior technical resource, providing advanced support for a range of aircraft programs, including A-10, C-130, F-15, F-35, F-16, C-17, KC-135, HH-60, HC/MC-130, and MQ-9. This position will involve the development and execution of comprehensive test plans, rigorous oversight of integration modifications, and ensuring that all engineering activities comply with military standards and operational requirements. The role also requires the Technician to mentor junior staff, facilitating knowledge transfer and enhancing the team's technical capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Develop and execute Test and Evaluation Master Plans and Operational Test Plans, ensuring adherence to AATC procedures.
+ Lead avionics and structural integration efforts, addressing and resolving complex technical issues.
+ Provide systems engineering support, including drafting technical documentation and Risk Management Plans.
+ Coordinate test planning and execution, scheduling facilities, and preparing test cards for approval.
+ Analyze post-test data, identifying problems and recommending solutions based on operational insights.
+ Mentor junior technicians and oversee project tasks to ensure quality and compliance.
Requirements
Required Experience:
+ 8+ years in aerospace engineering support or related fields.
+ Expertise in DoD and USAF test processes.
+ Strong technical writing and communication skills.
+ Active Secret Clearance
Desired Experience:
+ Experience with aircraft integration and modification programs in military contexts.
· Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
