THE POSITION:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced full-time Superintendent to oversee field production activities, ensuring top-quality workmanship and efficiency. The ideal candidate will excel in planning and managing labor, materials, and production on electrical construction projects, adhering to company standards and project specifications. Responsibilities include creating material Buy-Outs, planning work and labor requirements, completing As-Built Drawings, and managing project Close-Out processes. Strong communication skills are essential for efficient interaction with the Project Management team and customers. The Superintendent will also enforce company policies, handle disciplinary actions, and manage crew timecards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Lead a team of foremen to ensure high-quality project execution and safety.
+ Monitor and reduce recordable and non-recordable incidents within the foreman group.
+ Manage the total labor hour budget for all projects under their supervision.
+ Evaluate job performance for the foreman group, focusing on GM projections and variance.
+ Own the development of foremen to enhance their skills and leadership capabilities.
+ Collaborate with PMs to develop and execute effective project plans and strategies.
+ Obsess over safety training and adherence to maintain a safe working environment.
+ Promote the use of VDC (Virtual Design and Construction) and construction technologies to improve project outcomes.
+ Optimize field processes to ensure efficiency and consistency.
+ Drive field training to support continuous learning and development.
QUALIFICATIONS:
+ 10+ years of commercial/ industrial electrical experience
+ Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification *preferred
+ Experience leading crews of 20+ employees
+ Advanced abilities at reading plans, submittals, and specifications.
+ In-depth knowledge of NFPA 70 and solid understanding of current electrical codes and installation methods.
+ Well-versed in the installation of power systems - lighting, fire protection and security and data networks.
+ Ability to order and track materials, perform job cost projections, and develop “as-builts”
+ Proficient at all construction software as required
+ Clean background and driving record
+ Ability to run multiple projects simultaneously over $10M
