The Superintendent is responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet quality and contractual obligations.

**What does the position do?**

+ Plans and directs all construction activities on the project.

+ Supervises and mentors all field staff and provides constructive feedback.

+ Coordinates all labor, materials, and equipment for the project.

+ Creates & manages "three week" look ahead schedules and reviews them with the project team, subcontractors, and clients.

+ Reads and understands construction plans and scope of work thoroughly to prepare action plans.

+ Partners with project team to track project schedule and budgets.

+ Establishes a safe work environment, facilitates safety meetings, updates safety logs, and documents safety concerns.

+ Maintains clear communication channel with clients and the project team and resolves problems as they arise.

+ Plan inspections and obtain construction permits from local authorities.

+ Implement safety and quality guidelines.

+ Procures the appropriate equipment and arranges regular maintenance.

+ Communicates with clients and internal team on project progress.

+ Produces accurate and detailed daily reports.

**What will top candidates bring to the table?**

+ 5 years’ experience as a Construction Superintendent.

+ 5 years’ experience with federal government contracting is highly desired.

+ Ability to manage diverse projects, subcontractors, resources, and teams.

+ Knowledge of quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction job sites.

+ Understands construction drawings, plans, and specifications.

+ Willing to travel and/or work remotely for periods of time as required.

+ Understanding of project scheduling software.
