Internship Overview
The Bearizona Animal Care Internship is an opportunity for individuals to gain hands-on experience in a zoological setting. This four month long internship aims to equip participants with the skills necessary to have a successful career in animal care. Under direct supervision of
Bearizona animal care staff, participants will work as a part of the team to learn what it takes tomanage a large collection of wildlife.

Requirements
● Must be 18 years or older
● Must pass a background check
● Must have a clean drug test on hire date
● Must be able to work for 4 consecutive months
● Must be able to lift 50 lbs, work in all weather conditions and on uneven terrain
● Must be able to work weekends and holidays
● Must have reliable means of transportation

Preferred qualifications
Applicants should be hard-working, dependable, and a team player. Applicants must be adaptable as everyday brings new and exciting challenges. Animal care experience is not required but is a plus. Preference will be given to college students pursuing a career in an
animal field.

Compensation
This is a paid internship. Hourly wage will be based on skill and experience. Housing is not provided.
