As a Quality Control Technician I at the Maricopa QC Lab, located in Bapchule, AZ, your role will involve assisting in quality control testing, data management, and day-to-day seed testing activities. You will beresponsiblefor ensuring compliance with seed quality standards, handling data accumulation, and reporting any non-conforming results. Additionally, you will oversee testing, calibrating, and operating lab equipment accurately, while also demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.

**During your time as a QC Lab Technician I, you will**

+ Perform analysis of raw fuzzy cotton seed and finished cotton seed material by utilizing multiple different laboratory equipment and practices in both Laboratory and Plant setting.

+ Ensure all staff are performing testing accurately by evaluating competency, reviewing test results, identifying trends in data, and observing testing processes.

+ Train new hires.

+ Record results in the laboratory information systems and report issues to leadership team.

+ Calibrate equipment as required by QMS Standards.

+ Maintain work area and ensure equipment is in optimal and safe conditions.

+ Utilize all computer systems to review data and ensure data is accurate.

+ Crosstrain in both the fuzzy cotton seed lab and QA Plant lab.

+ Be flexible during Harvest Season and Plant Operations with extended hours and multiple shifts if applicable.

**If you...**

+ Hold a High School Diploma or Associate’s Degree (preferred).

+ Have one to three years of work experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance or recent work experience in the laboratory during Harvest Season.

+ Have knowledge and adherence of Safety, Stewardship, and Quality Management policies.

+ Possess Agriculture or Seeds industry experience (preferred).

+ Can work with a team and independently.

+ Demonstrate attention to detail to analyze and record results.
