As a Medical Lab Scientist, at NW Oro Valley, you'll play a vital role in doing what you do best- providing quality care to our patients. **About the Job:**
+ Performs moderate and high complexity tests in thehospital clinical laboratory, both automated and manual.
+ Ensures that specimens are appropriate for test methodologies. Documents all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations, and maintenance performed per departmental policy.
+ Assists customers with information regarding laboratory testing in a pleasant and professional manner.Ensures that all tests are performed within turnaround time limits with review of pending logs and stat boards to maintain compliance.
+ Performs and documentsall corrective action taken when systems deviate from laboratory established performance criteria.
+ Consistently uses critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify and correct issues that may adversely affect test performance or patient results.
+ Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of laboratory medicine is expected.
