Rate of Pay: $15.50 - $19.00 per hour (depends on experience)
**New Hire Bonus of $500. You will be paid $550 after completing 90 shifts.

Who We Are:
Helping Hearts provides behavioral health services in single family residences. We have been proudly serving the mental health community since 2008. We have various shift options within our multiple locations in the Phoenix area. We are looking for compassionate staff to join our dynamic team in one of core roles as a Member Care / Personal Caregiver. We prefer experience; however, we recognize traditional work experience is not the only form of experience. All staff will complete a new hire training that will provide for Arizona State Caregiving Certification, CPR/First Aid and Therapeutic Options Training Certification.
• Promote the dignity of members by working with them in a positive, respectful, age appropriate and courteous manner in group and 1:1 setting.
• Working with members who have a mental illness.
• Observe and document the actions/behaviors of all members throughout the day using electronic health records system.
• Ensure members are complying with program rules and encourage member compliance to their treatment plans.
• Ensure the facility is maintained, which includes inventory of supplies and food, basic cleaning, notification of repair needs, and facility compliance to licensure.
• Provide assistance in the self-administration of medication to members including appropriate documentation and safeguards.
• Monitoring and assisting the members with their activities of daily living and independent living skills which may include personal care assistance.
• Meal preparation and/or supervision of members preparing meals following basic recipes.
• Complete initial 63-hour new hire training and other training as required, including mandatory bi-weekly supervision.
• Ensure HIPPA compliance in every aspect of facility operations and member care.
• Ensure compliance with Helping Hearts Policies and Procedures, licensure rules and state and federal laws.
We have 12-hour shifts that start at 7am or 7pm.
Weekday Shift:
Week #1: Monday through Thursday
Week #2 - Monday through Wednesday

Weekend Shift:
Week #1: Friday through Sunday
Week #2 - Thursday through Sunday
**Eight hours of overtime is included in the bi-weekly shift schedule.

Who We Need:
Compassionate staff who are dependable, patient reliable, adaptable, detail oriented and can multi-task. At times, staff will need to assist in de-escalation of behaviors (i.e. physical aggression, verbal aggression) and other crisis situations and be able to accurately document in the electronic health records what they observe with their member interactions. Looking for staff who have experience in caregiving arena such as behavioral health or mental health or similar field.
We are looking for applicants who are:
• at least 21 years of age
• Have a minimum of high school diploma or GED (must provide copy of document)
• Are fluent in speaking and writing in English
• Possess an Arizona Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card (must provide before hire)
• Proof of ability to work in the United States
• Ability to pass five panel drug screening and physical
• Have reliable transportation to and from work
• Can type 25 words per minute and have basic computer skills
• Behavioral health or mental health caregiving experience preferred but not required with other documented consideration
• Must have sufficient physical strength and mobility to assist a participant to transfer from a wheelchair to another chair or commode without assistance and assist with a two-person transfer.
• Personal qualities including flexibility, tolerance of varied lifestyles and behavior, sound judgment.
• At least 6 months experience in related field such as: Behavioral Health, Mental Health, BHT (Behavioral Health Technician), Caregiver, CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant), Certified PCS, or group home experience.
